Exploring the TAP Method
-
Part 1: Critical Thinking
Critically thinking about the patient's condition, pain, needs, and individuality can be a daunting task. This section should help you structure your thoughts and questions, allowing you to draw the best information from your patient without overwhelming you.
-
Part 2: Differential Assessment
We have all gone through and learned many invaluable assessment techniques and special testing. Most of the tests we have either memorized or have completely forgotten exist (the two extremes are common). Sometimes, choosing tests in the moment is difficult. This part of the course aims to help you refresh on the importance of choosing wisely, and how to make great use of the time you have with your patients. Future workshops get into specifics.
-
Part 3: Treatment Planning
Sometimes planning a series of treatments and home care is a breeze; other times, finding a plan that works for your patient is like pulling teeth. This part of the course helps you take another look at what treatment planning can be and do for you and your patients. Future workshops will go into the specifics of creating these plans on a more individual level, gaining better tracking with clients.
